Last month, it was said that Samsung has certain problems with the 5-nanometer process technology, therefore, allegedly, TSMC will be engaged in the manufacture of the flagship Snapdragon 875 single-chip system. But according to new data, Samsung will still produce Snapdragon 875. And Qualcomm has already paid for the entire production.

Samsung reportedly won a record-breaking 1 trillion won contract, roughly equivalent to US $ 844 million. In comparison, a large order from Huawei for the production of both 5- and 7-nanometer single-chip systems, on which TSMC worked for almost four months, then cost the Chinese company about $ 800 million. So it can be seen that Samsung has received a very large order for the entire production of Snapdragon 875.

The SoCs will be manufactured using the 5nm EUV process technology. And although production starts earlier, the Snapdragon 875 itself will be presented only in December, and ready-made devices based on it will appear only in the first quarter of 2021.
