Samsung Galaxy S21 or Galaxy Z Fold 3 could include Under-Display Selfie Camera
Sources say Samsung is developing under-screen camera technology. At this stage, the manufacturer is not happy with the image quality, so the Samsung Galaxy S21 will receive a familiar camera that will be located in a hole in the corner of the screen. It has also been speculated that this could be the company's latest flagship with a hole in the screen.
Ross Young, founder of research companies Display Supply Chain Consultants and DisplaySearch, believes Samsung's sub-screen camera technology will go into mass production next year. He stated that if the Samsung Galaxy S21 does not have such a camera, then it will definitely appear in the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3, which should be presented in August next year. After that, all flagship smartphones will be transferred to sub-screen cameras with fully frameless displays.
Samsung Display's under-screen camera solution is much ahead of other solutions, and Samsung mobile phones have stricter requirements for under-screen camera effects than other brands. When the two meet, the under-screen camera of the Galaxy S21 is in Schrodinger's cat state.

Earlier, an insider Ice Universe said that the sub-screen camera technology that Samsung Display is working on is far superior to the competition. In addition, compared to other brands, Samsung has stricter requirements for the quality of photos and videos that can be used to create sub-screen cameras in smartphones.
He also argues that if Samsung is not satisfied with the quality of the technology in the Samsung Galaxy S21 prototype, its implementation may be delayed until a later period.
Recently, the first smartphone with a sub-screen front camera ZTE Axon 20 5G arrived in China, and the entire launch batch was completely sold out in less than one minute. A large number of smartphones with sub-screen cameras from a variety of manufacturers are expected to hit the market next year.
