Yesterday, China hosted the Huawei Developer Conference 2020, at which the Chinese tech giant officially unveiled Hongmeng OS 2.0, or Harmony OS 2.0 , as it will be called outside of China.
After the conference, Wang Chenglu, President of Huawei's Consumer Software Division, said that the operating system is already working very well and is completely different from Android.
Hongmeng devices can be viewed as modules and not as separate terminals. For example, why can Windows connect a printer and print directly? The reason is that modern printers are based on the Windows platform. The same is with Hongmeng OS 2.0, which treats an independent device as a module that can be called at any time upon request.

Wang Chenglu believes that disconnecting Huawei from Android will definitely do more good than harm. Huawei still has a contract with Google, he said, but Hongmeng OS will have more options after both sides fulfill it.
It is only a matter of time before all smartphones with EMUI 11 are fully updated to Hongmeng OS 2.0. Huawei has already replaced pretty much everything inside Android, including things that even Google didn't expect. After both parties fulfill the terms of the contract, I believe Hongmeng OS 2.0 will bring users a whole new experience.
