At the same time confirming the parameters

An hour and a half left before the announcement of Nvidia Ampere video cards, but Asus did not wait and presented these graphics adapters, and, judging by the press release, we have a full-fledged announcement with a listing of the characteristics.

So what did Asus present? It introduced non-reference GeForce RTX 30 graphics cards in the ROG Strix, TUF Gaming and Dual lines. Thanks to Asus, we are now confident that in a couple of hours Nvidia will introduce three adapters: the GeForce RTX 3090, RTX 3080 and RTX 3070. These are the models featured in the Asus press release.

Asus also mentions new RT cores, new tensor cores, and the Ampere architecture's nearly 2x advantage over Turing in terms of performance per watt. When you consider that the RTX 3090 has a TDP of 350W, it's scary to imagine its performance compared to the RTX 2080 Ti.

As for the parameters, they are exactly what we have already listed more than once. The RTX 3090 has 5248 CUDA cores and 24 GB of GDDR6X memory, the RTX 3080 has 4352 CUDA cores and 10 GB of GDDR6X memory. There is no data on the number of CUDA cores for the RTX 3070 yet, but Asus clarifies that the adapter is equipped with 8 GB of memory, and this is GDDR6, that is, its frequency will be significantly lower.
