There's a graphite backing
The difference between the Galaxy Note20 and Note20 Ultra is quite large, even in the case materials that used on both the phones. Recall that the junior model is made of plastic, it has a lower resolution screen, and the first sales already show that it is not particularly interesting to buyers. Moreover, rumors have surfaced that Samsung will ditch the Galaxy Note line altogether.
But in the meantime, we can be sure that the plastic case did not make the younger model more maintainable. IFixit specialists have already evaluated the designs of both devices and came to the conclusion that maintainability does not differ. Unfortunately, this is 3 points out of 10, so there is nothing to be happy about.
One of the curious features of both devices was the cooling system it had. Instead of a heat pipe or evaporation chamber, a multilayer graphite substrate is used here. Moreover, the source notes that there is allegedly data on the use of a copper heat pipe in some versions, so the situation is not completely clear.
As a result, the plastic case has little effect on the situation from the point of view of maintainability. It is somewhat more difficult to damage it during disassembly, but the overall maintainability of the devices is still low due to the difficulty of replacing the battery and screen and the abundance of glue.
