The high price did not alienate buyers
This week, the flexible Royole FlexPai 2 was unveiled, surpassing the original model and competing with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 and Huawei Mate Xs.
The smartphone will be available for a price of $1,470 in a version with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage option. A version with 12GB of inbuilt RAM and 512GB of internal storage which will be available for $1,700. But such a price did not repel buyers, because in the first hour, more than 50,000 pre-orders were made on the JingDong site alone, and by noon of the first day the total number of people wishing to buy smartphones exceeded 150,000. Apparently, the company sold all prepared smartphones before the start of sales.
The smartphone received an 8-inch display with a resolution of 1920x1440 pixels with an aspect ratio of 4: 3. When it is folded, you will get two screens with one having a diagonal of 5.50-inch and other will have 5.40-inches, respectively. The smartphone will be powered on the Qualcomm flagship Snapdragon 865 CPU, it supports 5G dual-mode (SA / NSA) connection.
The Royole FlexPai 2 runs Android 10 Operating System based water OS 2.0 User Interface on top. The main camera is 64-megapixel and has 3x optical zoom. For selfies, a 32-megapixel image sensor is used. The smartphone received modules Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, USB 3.1 Type-C, two stereo speakers, side fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, compass and a barometer.
The official sales of the Royole FlexPai 2 in China will start tomorrow i,e on September 25th.
