ColorOS 11 will be available for nearly three dozen smartphone models
Oppo has introduced a new version of its proprietary shell - ColorOS 11 based on the latest Android 11 operating system.
The manufacturer pays special attention to the wide customization possibilities of ColorOS 11 to the tastes of the user.
The system allows you to customize the home screen, create wallpapers, fonts, icons and ringtones, as well as use an improved dark theme with three color options and contrast levels.
In the Oppo Relax 2.0 application, the user can create their own collections of sounds, and a collection of sounds of the cities of the world is also available.
ColorOS 11 is slated to be released in phases over the coming months. From today, the beta version of the shell will be available for the Find X2 series. In total, the company plans to release a stable version for as many as 28 of its smartphone models. In Russia, the Find X2 update will be available from November 2020, the Reno3 series smartphones - from the first quarter of 2021.
Also noted is the translator with gesture control powered by Google Lens. Developed by Oppo in conjunction with Google, it adapts text using a three-finger swipe down.
Flexdrop for multitasking allows you to quickly switch between applications, simultaneously watch videos and chat in instant messengers.
In Super Power Saving Mode, a choice of six applications is available that will remain active when the battery level is low. The Battery Guard function protects the battery during prolonged charging and unstable mains voltage. For example, if the smartphone charges overnight, Battery Guard stops the process at 80% and resumes it when the user wakes up.
UI First 2.0 is used to eliminate delays and braking. The developers promise that the solution "increases RAM usage by 45%, response speed by 32% and frame rate by 17%."
The Private System function creates a “separate independent system”, accessible only after additional fingerprint scanning or entering a password, allowing you to run a copy of the application and keep the data separate from the original. App Lock lets you lock apps using a security code, fingerprint, or face recognition technology.
