More than half of buyers buy their first iPad today
Yesterday at Apple's press conference, it was announced a big milestone that the iPad family has passed in the 10 years since the original model appeared on the market.
It turns out that the Cupertin-based company has sold over 500 million iPads worldwide since 2010. It is worth noting that Apple first reported actual sales of its tablets since 2018. For the past couple of years, the company has stopped publishing accurate sales figures for its devices.
The company also conducted a study, the results of which showed that today 53% of new iPad buyers buy their first tablet from Apple. This indicates that the tablet market continues to grow amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Apple also said loudly that iPad has the highest satisfaction rate of any tablet to date.
The iPad Air 4 and the inexpensive Apple iPad 8 were unveiled yesterday.
