OnePlus 9 smartphones may come out earlier than usually
In the Geekbench 5 benchmark database, a new device is seen under the designation LuBan LE2117. If you ignore the first word, the designation exactly corresponds to the catalog number of the OnePlus 9 Pro smartphone - as we wrote about a week ago .
Apparently, the benchmark really tested the OnePlus 9 Pro based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 SoC. As you can see, the device received 8 GB of RAM and Android 11, but we are more interested in the test results. And they look ambiguous.
There are no questions about single-threaded performance: 1122 points is more than 889 points for the Snapdragon 865 in OnePlus 8. But the multi-threaded test ended with a result of only 2733 points - despite the fact that the same OnePlus 8 has 3225 points. Apparently, the engineering sample of the OnePlus 9 Pro was tested in Geekbench 5, which will still be fine-tuned.
The premiere of OnePlus 9 smartphones is expected in the spring. But it is possible that the devices will debut earlier than usual - by analogy with the new generation of Samsung flagships. Smartphones are credited with AMOLED screens with a frequency of 120/144 Hz (depending on the model), 65W wired charging and 40W wireless charging.
