OnePlus 8T is one of the first non pixel smartphones with pre-installed Android 11 Operating System
After several rumors and renders, finally the time has arrived as the flagship brand OnePlus has officially announced its new flagship smartphone in its OnePlus 8 series which is named as OnePlus 8T. It is interesting that in a number of aspects - the screen and the camera - it is similar to the OnePlus 8 Pro (a detailed comparison of the models has already been carried out ), but it still has the flagship features as it has got some major improvements as well.
The OnePlus 8T phone features a tall 6.55-inch fluid AMOLED display with Full HD + resolution. It has got 1080x2400 pixels of screen resolution The screen is flat unlike curved on the previous OnePlus 8 Pro model, and it also got a tiny hole-punch notch on the top left corner that houses a selfie camera carrying a resolution of 16-megapixel. This display also have integrated optical fingerprint scanner under the display, along with a 120Hz refresh rate support and 240 Hz touch sampling rate with support for HDR10. The front and back panels are covered with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass Screen Protection.
The OnePlus 8T is powered with the high-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC and not the Snapdragon 865+ processor which could have been a major upgrade as the Snapdragon 865 chipset was already seen on the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro models. It is coupled with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 memory, and also support for 5G connectivity. With this "set" the device is well suited for games. Interestingly, this brand new OnePlus 8T phone has a new vapor chamber, which is 285% larger than the vapor chamber of the previous model and hence no need to worry about any heating issues while playing heavy games and it also allows you to play Fortnite at a frame rate of 90Hz which is a major upgrade from the previous OnePlus flagship phones. OnePlus 8T depends in the new OxygenOS 11 User Interface, installed on top of Android 11 Operating System.
Coming to the camera department, this new phone has got a quad camera set-up with four cameras and a LED flash sitting inside the module and it consists of a 48-megapixel (primary camera), assisted by a 16-megapixel sensor with an (ultra-wide-angle lens) of 123 ° viewing angle. The third module with a 5-megapixel sensor is designed for (macro shooting), the last 2-megapixel sensor is responsible for scene (depth analysis). These cameras are also have inbuilt Optical Image Stabilization support.
The OnePlus 8T phone is fuelled with a respectable 4,500 mAh (in fact, the device uses two batteries with a capacity of 2250 mAh each) - even taking into account the high frame rate of the display, one full charge should be enough for a day of work. It also supports an amazing 65W Warp Charge fast charging and the is bundled inside the box. The phone can also be used not only to charge a smartphone, but also, for example, a laptop. The dimensions and weight of the new item are 160.7 x 74.1 x 84 mm and 188 grams. It's also listed in Aquamarine Green and Lunar Silver colour options.
Finally, the brand new OnePlus 8T phone will go on sale in Europe from October 20th, with pre-orders starting today on it's official website.
