This is the first smartphone on which Call of Duty Mobile will operate at 120 fps

If you don't like big phones, but love taking photos, listening to music, watching full-screen videos and playing games, you may be attracted by the compact flagship Sony Xperia 5 II announced today.

Sony Xperia 5 II Detailed Specifications 

The 6.1-inch OLED Full HD+ Display that has Truminuos 1080x2520 Pixels Screen Resolution with 21:9 aspect ratio. It also supports an amazing 120Hz refresh rate and HDR high dynamic range. The display also features a 240Hz touchscreen sampling rate.

In addition, the Sony Xperia 5 II will be the first smartphone to run Call of Duty Mobile at 120 frames per second. It is also designed for various software and hardware optimizations to reduce latency by 35%.

It runs on Android 10 Operating System out-of-the box based on the company's custom User Interface and will also have Corning Gorilla Glass 6 layer on top.

The smartphone will be powered by the Qualcomm's flagship Snapdragon 865 SoC, which is paired by 8GB of inbuilt RAM and 128 or 256 GB of internal storage options. There is also a slot for installing microSD memory cards. The Sony Xperia 5 II will be available in a dual SIM configuration in Europe.

The Sony Xperia 5 II features a triple rear camera set-up (12MP+12MP+12MP) of 12-megapixel main sensor, which we have already seen on the recent flagship Xperia 1 II. Sony has added JPG + RAW shooting, now 4K slow-motion video at 120 fps is shot in HDR. There is also a separate module for 3x optical zoom with optical image stabilization. Eye AF is available (works on both humans and animals), the phone can shoot 20 photos per second with continuous auto exposure / autofocus.

Despite the reduced size, the Xperia 5 II retains the same battery capacity as the older flagship, which is 4,000 mAh along with a decent 18W fast charger inside the box, but you can use charging up to 21W. You can achieve 50% charge can be achieved in 30 minutes with the charger included inside the box.

Sony Xperia 5 II thankfully got a 3.5 mm headphone jack, as well as support for Dolby Atmos speakers for amazing audio and 360 Reality Audio. The phone is protected against Dust and Water resistance with IP68 and IPX5 certifications. However, the front and back panels are protected by Gorilla Glass 6 and it is only 68 mm wide and 8 mm thick.

The device will be available for pre-order starting September 29th which is set for a price tag of $950 (750 INR), with sales starting December 4th. But in Europe it will go on sales in the fourth quarter for 900 Euros.

Those who pre-order the Xperia 5 II by November 29, they will receive a gaming kit worth over $400, including a gaming headset, 10,000 mAh portable battery and 21,600 Call of Duty Mobile Points.
