Geekbench have confirmed an another model of the OnePlus smartphone under the number KB2000

Previously we learned that OnePlus will soon release its top-end flagship smartphone apart from OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro phones, which is none other than OnePlus 8T, and is scheduled on October 14. A few weeks ago, a new OnePlus device with model number KB2001 appeared in the Geekbench 5 browser. This smartphone was showcased with 8GB of RAM, a Qualcomm's Snapdragon 865 SoC and was running Android 11 Operating System. Finally it was given the name OnePlus 8T.

However, now another OnePlus smartphone model has appeared on Geekbench with model number KB2000 which closely resembles with OnePlus 8T phone's KB2001 model number. The benchmark database states that this smartphone is also showcased with a Qualcomm's Snapdragon 865 SoC, but has 12GB of RAM unlike 8GB of RAM in the KB2000 model phone.

The device managed to scored 3843 points in single-core score and 11,714 points in multi-core test when using all cores. Earlier, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau confirmed that there will be no Pro version of this flagship this year . He added that the OnePlus 8T has already turned out to be an excellent smartphone, it was impossible to make it even better, so there is simply no point in releasing the OnePlus 8T Pro.

Opinions have been expressed that an Ultra model with 12GB of RAM may be released in the OnePlus 8T lineup. However, so far this is only expectations and could be most probably OnePlus 8T Ultra according to the reports.

It was also revealed that the manufacturer is using an outdated Sony IMX586 image sensor in the OnePlus 8T which is a bit disappointing to many users. This is the same sensor tha was user in too many phones like OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7 Pro, OnePlus 7T, OnePlus 7T Pro, OnePlus 8 and even OnePlus Nord.
