Motorola RAZR 5G finally launched for $1399 with foldable design

Motorola finally launched the new Motorola RAZR 5G which is the successor to original Motorola RAZR later today. It has the same foldable capability like the previous one with no major improvements from its successor but with 5G connectivity. We can't even see any major design changes to the last year's Motorola RAZR phone.

Motorola RAZR 5G Design

This new foldable phone gets a clamshell design. This time the RAZR 5G display slides back into the frame to avoid damage when you fold the device.

From the front, we can see a thicker bezels all round with a larger chin at bottom with a lengthy notch on top. It has a foldable module at the middle of the phone to fold the device like the previous model.

And from the back, we can see can see a single large sensor along with a LED flash and house a smaller screen on top of it on first half fold and there's a company's logo on the second half and looks plain overall.

Motorola RAZR 5G Specifications

The phone features a tall 6.20-inch Full HD+ plastic OLED Display with 2142x876 Pixels Screen Resolution making it 21:9 Aspect Ratio and the second smaller screen will be of 2.70-inches tall with a resolution of 800x600 pixels Glass OLED panel which is a perfect screen to take selfies.

And it comes with Android 10.0 Operating System out of the box and the company's custom UI on top.

It is powered by an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G CPU which is not a powerful CPU as per the modern day market and is paired with 8GB of Inbuilt RAM that supports 256GB of internal storage options, which cannot be expandable further.

In the camera department, the dual rear camera set-up includes a single large 48-megapixel Primary sensor with a LED Flash sitting beside it.

And for selfies, there's an 20MP sensor housed for taking selfies and video calls, not great but decent.

In the battery section, the phone packs a really low 2,800mAH Battery with only 15W fast charging support which are the numbers mostly seen on Apple phones.

There's a fingerprint Sensor placed below the display and Face Unlock feature to unlock the phone and it will be available in Brush Gold, Polished Graphite, and Liquid Mercury colour options.

The Motorola RAZR 5G phone is set for a price tag of

$1,399 (1,02,600 INR) Only - 6GB+256GB variant

Conclusion

No major upgrades but it's a futuristic phone with very less amount of battery capacity and a little old design which is not as great as the Samsung's Galaxy Z Flip phone.
