Huawei Nova 8 will get a smoother 90Hz Display and MediaTek Dimensity 820
Huawei is soon going to announce the Nova 8 series in the next quarter, possibly at the very end of the year. Sources have already published the first information about the price and platforms used in the Nova 8 and Nova 8 Pro smartphones.
According to information published by a Chinese insider on Weibo, the upcoming Huawei Nova 8 will be based on the MediaTek Dimensity 820 SoC. Redmi currently has exclusive rights to use this platform, but the exclusivity period ends in December.
The Huawei Nova 8 is also expected to receive a 90Hz OLED display from Visionox or Tianma. The starting price of the device should be around ¥3,299 which is $485.
As for the Huawei Nova 8 Pro model, it is expected to use a MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ CPU, as well as an OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate from Visionox or Tianma. The price of new items should start at ¥3,999 which is $590.
