The smartphone giant Apple had already started testing iPhone with Samsung flexible screen to launch foldable phone in the company's line up to compete with Samsung, Huawei and Motorola foldable phone.
Apple is going forward and is working on a new prototype that has a foldable screen to fold into half like the recently launched Galaxy Z flip 5G phone.
To recall, we have already seen Huawei, Samsung and Motorola brands have already released several models of smartphones with foldable displays. And not only this, but other manufacturers are also working in this direction to compete with the modern market.
Among them Apple is also on the list of companies experimenting with foldable display phones. Back in June, it was reported that the foldable iPhone prototype actually had two separate displays with a very narrow hinge at the centre to connect both displays.
According to sources, finally Apple has started making working on a new prototype that has a foldable screen. However, Apple had recently placed a large order with Samsung Display, which will provide test samples for at least a year. After the testing of Samsung-supplied samples, Apple has begun testing a prototype iPhone with a similar screen which is a good news for the Apple fans and that would be really amazing.
Samsung Display has been a key supplier of OLED panels for iPhone smartphones for many years. While Samsung Display is a leading player in the foldable display market right now, and the company hopes to dominate the new market by increasing its production capacity to 10 million foldable displays per year according to reports.
Some sources also believe taht the foldable iPhone may launch as early as next year, but keep in mind that Apple is not in a rush, especially when it comes to smartphone innovation. It launches these type of phones in the right time packing amazing and interesting features beating it's competitors in the market.
