Sony mobiles have finally launched a mid-range phone in its Xperia 8 line up which is Sony Xperia 8 Lite in it's home country. In terms of specs, this brand new phone is positioned below Sony Xperia 1 II and 10 II.
Sony Xperia 8 Lite Design
This new phone gets slight thicker bezels all-around with a slight larger chin on top housing a selfie sensor looks really old design from front but when it come to bottom it have slimmer bezel that looks nice and is somewhat different from other existing phones.
And from the back, we can see dual rear cameras aligned on a pill-shaped module horizontally with a LED Flash sitting top of it.

The phone features a tall 6.0-inch Full HD+ Triluminious LCD Display with 1080x2160 Pixels Screen Resolution making it 20:9 Aspect Ratio.
And it comes with Android 9.0 Operating System out of the box which is a bit disappointing and the company's custom UI on top.
It is powered by an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 CPU which is not a powerful CPU as per the modern day market and is paired with 4GB of Inbuilt RAM that supports 64GB of internal storage options, which can be expandable further upto 512GB via micro-SD slot.
In the camera department, the dual rear camera set-up includes a 12-megapixel Primary sensor, along with an 8-megapixel telephoto sensor with dual-LED Flash on top.
And for selfies, there's an 8MP sensor housed for taking selfies and video calls, not great but decent.
In the battery section, the phone packs a really low 2,870mAH Battery without any fast charging support which are the numbers mostly seen on Apple phones.
The main highlight of this phone will be it's IPX5/X8 dust and water resistance along with IPX6 certification too which sounds nice.
There's a side-mounted Fingerprint Sensor and Face Unlock feature to unlock the phone and it will be available in Black and White colour options.
The Sony Xperia 8 Lite phone is set for a price tag of 28,800 Yen (US$280) Only for the lone 4GB+64GB and It will be available starting today via Japanese online markets.
Conclusion
It's not the best phone available in the market in terms of cameras, performance or the battery, but if you want the phones with water resistance on a budget segment then you can go for this phone or else you have several options in the market to buy.
